The Reverend Wyneken was instrumental in starting many of the area Lutheran Churches and one of the founding fathers of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The “Wyneken House” is the only remaining home of an Indiana pioneer religious leader.

With the blessing of some beautiful fall weather we were able to install the windows on the front side of the house. It was a great work day and we thank everyone who participated. We especially want to thank Marvin Conrad for the beautiful work he did on the construction of the windows.
The FOW Committee got the okay for the requested zoning variance at the Adams County Board of Zoning Appeals last Thursday evening. This is for the land that Dona Schaeffer donated to the Indiana German Heritage Society upon which the Wyneken House presently stands and where it will be permanently located for future years use.
